Paul Simmons walking in Cornwall

Roger Goulding Government to cut free swimming for Under 16's - Short Sighted!

Conservative sports Minister Hugh Robertson, recently announced lots of cuts - but most worrying is the loss of free swimming for under-16s and over 60s - which costs £65m. Other cuts in DCMS are billions (so this is a drop in the ocean - excuse the pun), but do we really want to take away an opportunity to provide a foundation for future generations to make greater use of our coasts and inland waters - as confident swimmers?

Rory MacPhee Currach Adventures

I have been recently licenced by Cornwall Council to run boat trips on my currach OFFCUT in the Fal and Helford estuaries. This will give an opportunity for discovering the creeks of the Fal and Helford and engage in rowing, foraging, fishing and walking in previously inaccesible places.
