I have a lifetime of open water swimming, all year round. Now I am 77 years old and living a mile from the sea at Newhaven. Recent ops to replace two hips and a knee (one more to go!) mean that I can no longer keep my balance in rough seas. Anyone local to Newhaven who likes swimming in the mornings, please be in contact. james.rose7@yahoo.co.uk

wild swim fridays sounds like a great idea - i used to have a regular swim safari going on wednesday nights, when we'd all quit work on time and drive down to the thames for a summery swim,. totally recommend it

Hi all, I'm based in Exeter and looking for people to wild swim with near home but also across the SW. I'm going to start in Lidos, with some outdoor pools too, and progress to a Blue Mile at Plymouth. I don't work on Fridays, so if anyone's up for a "Wild Swim Friday" each week, that would be fab. I'll also look a the facebook group - thanks for the tip. Lou

hi carolyn

if you're a member of facebook (or don't mind becoming one) then it's worth finding the 'outdoor swimming society' group there and asking the same question - that has 1800 members at the moment

all best

Any west cornwall wild swimmers out there? Have just moved back down this year and would love to find some people to swim with.
